Overview
This visa allows employers to address labour shortages by bringing in skilled overseas workers. It is a temporary visa with two main streams: the Short-term stream (up to 2 years) and the Medium-term stream (up to 4 years), with the latter providing a pathway to permanent residence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be nominated by an approved sponsor employer
- Occupation on Short-term or Medium-term Skilled Occupation List
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Meet English language requirements
- Salary must meet Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT)
